Can't begin to imagine how cold and oxygen deprived they are but hey, if they die on the descent at least they witnessed the beauty space has to offer... together!Overpowering backgrounds own your soul. Yes I did use reference for it too, that's what space really looks like (but prettier!)
The filesize raped my computer right down to the fuse, so i can't actually edit this anymore (I wants moar stars damnit >_

I really love the clouds and colours in the background, it has a good balance of realistic and fantastic imo :] and the little Pokeymons are adorable, the shading is really good <3

Sure! I started by following some of =jocarra 's tutorial here [link]
I then made my own star shaped brush in photoshop by making a 100*100 canvas and drawing a black star on a seperate layer. Go to Edit > define brush preset to turn your star drawing into a brush.
I then selected my new brush and dabbed lots of white stars on a new layer. I repeated this for all the different sized stars.
I used a reference picture (plenty on Google) to paint in some white clouds and overlayed them with a multicoloured gradient with the layer style tool.
Basically, I just tried loads of stuff to get my drawing as accurate as possible, but there's a *brief* overview of some of the more important parts xD
