I had been reading the dark mlp fanfictions, like cupcakes and rainbow factory and thought of an idea to combine them with other stories I came up for the other characters.

I thought about WHY they got this way, so what if there was a dragon that Celestia defeated long ago and wanted revenge for what she and the rest of equestria had done to it. So it came back as a dark spirit and began corrupting them.
Dark Celestia would turn against Luna and exile her from equestria. Celestia would turn to Twilight Sparkle as her new right-hand-mare and let the dragon corrupt her as well. Twilight would be turned into "Midnight Shadow" and would be on the look out for any trouble, mishaps, or failures within the land... "Everything and Everyone MUST be perfect"
She would punish those who didn't follow the rules; stab trouble makers with her horn, put a spell on Spike or an animal and have it attack a pony, or put a ponies name on Pinkie's "cupcake" list if they broke the rules more than once.

Midnight Shadow gave teeth to Gummy so her could help Pinkie trap ponies who were next on the menu. "Meaty Pie" (AKA Pinkamena) she was now called kidnapped ponies and cut them up to put them into her pastries, sometimes she'd put someone's cutie mark on the cupcakes. Those who found what was REALLY inside Meaty's special pastries.... were next on the menu.

Rarity became one of the wealthiest ponies when the dragon spirit got a hold of her, she was addressed as "Lady Rarity" (AKA Little miss rarity) as seduced any male pony he wanted and gained more wealth and power. Those who knew what she was doing or got mad because she stole their husbands would be humiliated so that no one was on their side and would force them to become their slaves. Like Sweetie Belle who tried to stand up to her but failed and had her mouth sown.

Rainbow dash, now Rainbow Slash, runs the weather factories including the rainbow sector. Where all Pegasus's who were unworthy to have their full freedom to fly were sent to work in the rainbow sector, and one by one a pony would be crushed and used for the spectra *colors* of the rainbows. Here we're witnessing Scootaloo losing her wings as a punishment. *they're now on Meaty Pie's dress*.

Fluttershy began to lose hope and feared for her animals and fled with them to the Everfree forest where she and her critters were driven mad. She had mos grow on her skin when she fell into poison joke. No one dared enter the forest again, for those who did were killed by Fluttershy or her animals.
The children of equestria nicknamed her Dwellershy the phantom of the woods.

Applejack and her family were assigned to grow poisoned apples in their orchard, but they refused. So as a punishment their farm was burned down, Big Mac was caught and forced to work in the diamond mines. But Applejack escaped with Applebloom, suffering major burns, and joined other ponies like Zecora, Shining armor, and Pipsqueak to escape and plan a result with Princess Luna and other outcasts like Trixie and Gilda... Even Spike joined them, he had had enough of Midnight's torture spells and was heartbroken to see what she and many other ponies had become.

May the Quest of the Golden Apple begin!
