In this pic it is quite ironic how Sweden is besides Finland, even though he didn't get any aid or support (expect those brave swedish volunteers) when Russia decided to invade Finland.

Sweden offered massive material support.
A large number of everything was sent from Swedish army stocks to Finland.
Bofors ran ammunition production for Finland with Swedish needs taking second priority.
Sweden helped Finland finance it's arms purchases abroad and when necessary acted as an intermediate.

Basically Sweden was a giant logistics base for Finland, The Swedish navy even escorted ships up to the Finnish 3 mile limit.

When Sweden had to mobilize after the 9th of April 1940 a lot of weapons weren't available because they had been sent to Finland.

Good point. Also have to point out. Finn's and Swe's relation ship is somewhat adorable and shaky.
But it still is quite ironic too that out of all Nordics Finn is considered the strongest (both physically and mentally) out of them.

I mean evenΒ HimaruyaΒ  himself said quote on quote on his block that Finland is ''aΒ powerful person'' But then again Finalnd kicked Soviet Russia's ass in Winter war. Well in a way they did. While Finland lost the Winter war toΒ Soviet Russia along with some of their land the Red army had much greater losses than Finland did.

Out of all the people that should be standing next to little ol' Finland, it should be Nazi Germany, as they were the only ones that helped us in the winter war (except for the freely volunteered from Sweden, Norway and Denmark, but that doesn't really count).

They did give material support and few children were send to Sweden during the war. There were volunteers from other countries too but mostly we got weapons and food from Germany. We werenΒ΄t part of the axis though. And I Β agree Tino should be on top because it was us against USSR.

Cynically said we got lot of moral support during the war from other countries but Real help...Sorry for not trusting that anymore, not EU or USA.

They sent volunteers just like there was volunteers in the Spanish Civil War. Norway I believe had volunteers in Finland but not as many as Sweden.

Sweden was officially non-belligerent in Winter War... but they helped Finland by sending volunteers and equipment. ^^
