It's sesshoumaru! ^_^ art trade done with His boa/tail isn't really white in this pic, ne?
;; I used watercolor, and went over it a little too much, so it got 'dirty' in color... ;; Ah well, it's sunset or something, so it's the lighting, really! ^_^ I took liberties with his outfit too... ;;; got a little happy when I was doing the red dabbing stuff...I hope you like it, ghemja-san!

uber cool! I like it very much! I'm still learning about watercolours... did you sketch it out in pencil, then watercolour, then ink it? Or did you do it with pencil, inked it, then watercoloured it? Most of my watercolours are failures... I haven't figured out the secret....

I sketched it in pencil, then watercoloured it, then inked it. If I ink it after, then the pen bleeds, so...
Some tips if you want them-- start with the lighter colors first. If you start with the darker colors first, then you can't make the lighter colors. And keep an extra strip of paper near you, then you can test out the colors before you put it on your drawing. And try to mix all sorts of colors together--have fun with it!!! ^_^

And you say you need WORK on watercolors! *laughs* I'm having a hard time picking the right words from the air to describe this picture--shall we start with stunningly beautiful? The hair and its shades--the boa/tail, posed to devour, glory in motion--the black lines defining shape, so graceful in their arcs that they seem akin to the greatest calligraphy--I... I'm really really really really^infinity impressed.

I wonder though--how DOES one work with a big brush and still get spectacular details that are so rampant in your work? Does one dip different parts of the brush in different colors and manuever with hereto unheard of skill? I bet you could do it.

0_0 Um... I just keep on using small brushes and muddying up my colors. Notice most of the water colors I have up here are rather... grey-toned. Not bright happy stuff. ^^;;; but I'll keep that in mind, because I'm constantly trying new styles.

Thanks a lot! ^_^ I'm still working on using watercolors, so it didn't turn out like I wanted at first (I was going for pastels, but messed up) but I think it turned out better this way. ^_^ Thanks so much for the comment!
