If I saw this at the arts and crafts market, I would be willing to spend about Β£20 on it (and that's out of a student's meagre budget). I do love photos depicting scenes of autumn and winter, and this photo seems to have been taken at around that time (judging by the trees) and the brown colour of it enhances the atmosphere.

This is lovely, the sepia works fantastic in this shot. I really love how you put this together. The foreground, makes it look as if you are peaking through at this lost fairy tale city. Positioning yourself behind the leaves and tree act as if you came out of this forest, and walked into this dream.

now, KΓΆln? I love that city! IΒ΄ve been there quite a lot last year and such and itΒ΄s nice. There are nice festivals sometimes and so on
The only thing i hate there is the trainstation, cause i always have to wait there so long for my train and there are no seats, only people in a hurry, itΒ΄s allmost impossible to learn to know someone there for example (and normally thats not a big problem, since i like talking
jup, my languages... ich spreche NiederlΓ€ndisch, Engels, FranzΓΆzisch und deutsch, aber ja, so gut ist mein deutsch nicht, mache viele gramatik fehler usw.

Wonderful photograph.
You used what I like to call "natural framing" ... I'm not sure what the technical photographic term for this is ... but the elements in the foreground lent themselves perfectly to a frame of this odd and enticing collection of elements (natural, industrial, and architectural).
I normally am not a huge fan of Sepia toned photography because somehow in the modern era it feels contrived. But this ... THIS feels in no way contrived. Just elegant and beautiful.
