Decided to draw my new OC, Atrum-7/RainThis took me approx. 4 hours. And hell I am proud of it! Enjoooooy~

People use wacom tablet to draw semirealistic art, maybe in your country has a try-on wacom at a computer/device shop

Hard, but the effect! If that is semi-realistic then I want to see your full potential. Besides the character and the clothes, which look stunning (the way that coat-jacket folds, argh!), besides the hair, the blinding fold with inscriptions (how cool is that?), creepy wings blurred by the weather, there is that rain and that thunder. I often draw thunders and I know how easy it is to fuck it up, but you used just a few strokes and it looks so electric. The rain, I don't actually know how did you do it but, but it looks so sharp, so tearing the sky. Like it is made of a barbed wire. Excellent effect, makes the background come alive, makes the story of your character be placed in some tainted and hostile environment, where you have to be aware even of the rain.

Thanks! I am quite fond of Rain myself, and... still the making of a ref sheet is proving to be ridiculously hard with all the side details. But at least im able to draw machine-like things xD and funny how you like the way I draw thunder. Because for the most part, I looked at the way you drew it for references, so I gotta say thank you for having such an awesome drawing style :3

Yes. He happens to have this cyborg-like arm as well, on the same side as his mech wing. In fact, about half his body is mechanic.im planning to have his main way of attacking to be a pair of claws he can activate on his cyborg arm, it being quick and convenient...and a way the enemy wont see it coming. Im most likely going to place him in a world different from Earth, with different races and all. He is going to be someones guardian angel (because lets say that royalty in that world has their personal guardian angel) and he was really close with the one he had to protect (who will be some sort of princess, most likely). There, angels normally are transparent and have wings pure as light, and can protect their people with heavenly magic. However, when the one they have to protect is killed before they were supposed to die, the angel will have failed their job and "falls", becoming material and having their wings turned black. And if that wasnt enough for Rain, he almost got killed himself afterwards, losing a big part of his body in the process. And thats when some science peeps found him, and decided to 'rebuild' him into a murdering machine.

That' pretty badass story, a fallen guardian angel. He's just as a samurai that failed, a ronin. Hence, should have a weapon forged at mount Fuji's foot.
But this is sone other world, where tasks of samurai are taken care of by angels. I still see that rain falling, cutting through everything that is not shielded. Half of the body being mechanic, makim him a cyborg of some sort. I can see a wide field if possibilities that can be put in use in that universe, including hacking, machine control, magnetism, force fields, radiation. Not all at the same time of course.
All that badass angel idea brings back memories of "Diablo" and "Constantine". It is a very cool concept.

Thank you! It took me a night of sleep to attempt to come up with a fitting story for a half-angel half-cyborg creature, and eventually I decided to settle with the fallen concept, taken a little further with the science touch. Sci Fi and Horror are two things I really love to put together. They work together so well, and with so many possibilities.

Now that you mention it, the combinatuon if Sci-Fi and Horror, I remember one film that was good - "Event horizon". I would recommend you seeing it.
Not only Sci-Fi but also that post apocalyptic feel, the world that has moved on, the great war already forgotten, just the debris of it rhat is left
