I'm bringing in a brand new little naskapi pupper to my kennel!Even though I'm not very active at the moment (like, not at all), I'm almost done with school (5 weeks left!) and already thinking about what I'll do with my kennel once I have free timee.

You're welcome! I read about the Naskapi dogs a while back when I did some research on the movie, 8 Below, found out it was actually THEM not Siberians that were what inspired the movie. So, I think its awesome you draw them xD

This is the breed I was thinking of; they hail from Japan and their story is the eight below inspiration. I think they made a documentary on them, too.

Yeah, I had been looking up sled dogs from various places and I came across these along with trying to see if Eight Below had been based on a real story. Turns out its a little fictionalized but there really is a documentary (I've never seen it but). Do you ever have litters of your Naskapi breed?
