So much going on here, the colors are very rich and alive, the DOF sucks you into the image by giving it many levels of observation, and the perspective makes it seem like every object in the scenery is pushing towards the right. Very good shot.

The dof effect is probably due to the way it was shot,
"the lens used was the original rebel 18-55 zoom (100$) with a custom bracket I made in order to mount the lens backwards on the camera
which makes it into a macro lens. ofcourse the auto focus and auto exposure does not work but it does the trick. This can be done with any SLR and it works great with old lenses too."
