As i wrote elsewhere already, it was a color study and brush test.Shiny-foggy golden mornings are my favorite parts of the day. One of the best things about taking the bus instead of the metro to work is that i can see these kinds of lights. When i don't have to go to work, i like to walk out to the river, onto the closest bridge before dawn to see the sunrise from start to finish. Morning lights can cheer me up, calm me down, inspire me, or make repressed garbage rise to the surface therefore make me cry uncontrollably which inevitably results in me feeling much better a bit later. TL; DR morning lights are highly therapeutic.

Very pretty! This picture lives off the composition and the lighting in it. Even though when taking a closer look it seems like some of the shapes are rather simple, they still manage to simulate a structure and have a great depth thanks to the lighting.
The griffin and the person are clearly the center of attention the way they are lit.
The DD is truly deserved!

Thanks! Unfortunately i didn't take screenshots of the work in progress because i didn't have a plan and for a long time i disliked how it looks and so i planned to throw it out. I only found an early version by chance, it doesn't document half the process (i painted and deleted a lot) but it's something. sta.sh/0cxfvwcnogg I hated how it looks until step 4.
