So, I've moived on from Bambi back to MLP. was having a contest to create a relative for Celestia and Luna, so I made this in about 5 hours.The first thing I thought of when I saw the contest was Sleipnir (for whatever reason.
) I imagine Sleipnir would be their older brother. While Luna and Clestia represent the sun and moon, I thought he'd represent space and "allness". So his mane is supposed to look like this galaxy ([link] ) and have a body black like space. Even his cutie mark has deep meaning: It's supposed to be the Sword of Justice, flanked by Strings of Fate.Overall I'm happy with this. I tried to keep the design "simple", like in the series, but the design can only be so simple when you're talking about an 8 legged horse.
Anyway, I hope you guys like this quick pic.

One question: As Luna and Celestia's brother, wouldn't he have wings and a horn as well (Even though technically he wouldn't need them)?

Well, yes. There was actually a whole story where he died, and all that's left is his spirit was an earth pony, but I never got around to writing it.

I like the effect of its mane. The 8 legs kinda throw me off a bit, though. O.o
Why even have legs when you're in space? Shouldn't that be replaced with, like, rockets and laser-beams to ward off enemy ships? XD
Nice work on shading, and I like the shape of the head. It seems to give him a decent bit of personality. ^^

Well, the 8 legs is accurate to the "real" Sleipnir from Norse mythology. He had 8 legs because he was supposed to be the fastest horse in existence.

Ah, I see... Still, the way they were put together, between the outer two... it looks a bit off... Still, I suppose it's better than having him look like a spider. XD
