So recently I was asked which Belmont was my favorite, and I had to really think on it. I first played Simon, and am most Familiar with him, and also Richter comes to mind because he is just plain Cool, and is in SOTN and Smash Bros. But when I really gave it some thought, I kept coming back to Christopher Belmont from the Gameboy games was my Favorite. There isn't much Art on Christopher, but I wanna change that. His costume design is awesome,and he occupies a very interesting era in the Castlevania Timeline. An Era where Trevor Belmont had defeated Dracula nearly 100 years Prior, and everyone assumed he was dead and gone for good, then Castlevania and Dracula Both Return, and Christopher is called on to Venture to the Castle to do battle with the Count. This version I have depicted here borrows a little from the new Netflix series a bit with the Dracula Design. The curled collar points area nod to Dracula's Sprite from the game, as is the Fireball. (he shoots several small ones out that go in a circular pattern in the game). This whole piece was also kind of a exercise in architechure and perspective and lighting. I have mainly tackled outdoor stuff with Castlevania, and haven't done any interior shots like this in a VERY long time. so I was shaking the dust off with this one. Hope you all like it!
