Y'know what? This is pretty much EXACTLY the way I pictured the Black Rabbit of InlΓ© (aka, InlΓ©-rah), but lurking in the shadows, so that his skeletal clawed feet and skull-like face were obscured.

But still, an awesome image there!

Oh, he's beautiful! Wasn't he supposed to be blind? I don't remember... No, that was El-hrairah, in the darkness, blind. And I think he said the Black Rabbit's ears were gnawed down to "ragged stumps" if I'm remembering correctly.
My sister and I both read Watership Down when we were young, I read it when I was about nine and she read it when I think she was 13. She found "Tales From Watership Down" at the library recently, and THAT is a beautiful book too. You never look at rabbits the same way again.

I thought it was just Elahrairah who lost his ears. Anyway, Best Black Rabbit I've seen. Too many cute versions out there.

i absolutely adore Richard Adams, and watership down is one of my top alltime favs! (this coming from an absolute book worm). but have you ever heard of Maia? it too is by Richard Adams, but directed towards a far more mature audience. I highly recomend it.

hmm... no, never heared about it YAY! I'm a bookworm too! gotta check that book out what is it about?

legamorf In reply to who-stole-MY-name [2005-10-05 23:48:56 +0000 UTC]

ah, well, this is where the adult audience comes in. a pesant girl is sold into slavery to be a sexslave basicaly, but winds up in one of the rich houses of the capital city, and well, becomes innocently involved in the politics of the time. i caution you, Maia is a total ditz, but the other characters are sooooo amzeing! ok. i should stop now, cuz if i keep going it will never end...

O_o hehe I think I'm kind of inmature to read it I mean, I COULD read it without getting traumatized but I think I'm not ready yet, I'll wait to "grow up" a little more and to have a more mature criterial but I WILL read it
