Description Second iteration of Marshal Imad from our Kingmaker game. Imad's the group's kickass, 40-something swordmaster, easily double the age of any other PC in the group. Long ago, he was one of Brevoy's finest swordmasters, and though nine years of retirement left his skills rusty, they're coming back to him quickly. With by far the highest attack bonus in the group, Imad's skilled at hitting fast and (relatively) hard. And as of the last session, he's also the guy who rolled three successful critical hits- in a row- culminating in a troll decapitation.

Don't fuck with Imad. Imad will kill you.

When not murdalizing trolls, Imad roams the nation of Urseine's hinterlands, keeping bandits at bay and administering frontier justice in the farmlands that dot the small nation. Imad's got a small gang of deputies, all skilled woodsmen, smiths, and swordsmen like himself, who may lack legal knowledge but follow a solid (if freedom-loving) moral compass.

Currently a 5th-level human fighter, though I expect he'll be 6th by the end of this particular adventure. Run by my longtime buddy and brilliant writer, Ben Schultz (not to be confused with Ben Bruck- we know a lotta Bens).

Imad's motto is "speak rarely and carry three and a half feet of sharpened Damascus steel."

Now THAT'S Awesome. He's face just says: "Are You feeling lucky, PUNK."

Great work yet again! Sword looks cool too, is it the Aldori Dueling sword?

Imad's the man. He actually missed an attack in last night's game for the first time in a LONG while, and I blurted out, "but Imad NEVER misses!"

I'm curious to see just how high Imad's attack bonus can go. His dueling sword is currently at +13 (+11 when he Power Attacks, which he basically does all the time, unless something's got a really high AC).

And yeah, that's my current take on an Aldori dueling sword. Paizo's never gotten around to getting art for it, so I just kinda make it katana-ish. It changes each time I draw it, though, so don't take that as some canonical representation.

Yeah, that only reminds me of our CotCT-campaing's shoanti barbarian Adolamin. He hits his enemies so often, that it's wonder when he doesn't. And average damage is somewhere over twenty points per hit.

Awesome. He reminds me of a kick ass former wandering Ronin type to me. He has "the look"

There's a lot more. From the original Imad illo:

Former Aldori swordmaster who retired to Mivon nine years ago when the political shit hit the fan. When his daughter became deathly ill, Imad's son-in-law left to go make some money to pay for a healer, but was accosted and slain while unarmed in an illegal duel. Lacking the funds to pay for a cure, Imad's daughter died, and Imad left to find the man who murdered his son-in-law, led to his daughter's death, and ended his quiet retirement. His skills have gotten very rusty over the years, however, and lacking any good leads on the whereabouts of his quarry, Imad has teamed up with a bunch of young'ns looking to deal with banditry in the Stolen Lands, relearning his old skills and hopefully finding the bastard that ruined his family in the process.

Based loosely off of the main character in the awesome film, Hara-Kiri, with physical appearance based loosely off of Imad from Kingdom of Heaven. Ben's a film buff.

He's since found said bastard, dueled with him, and left him a bloody smear in the snow in what was an amazing duel to the death.

This is fantastic. I love how Kingmaker seems to bring out some of the most epic moments in gaming, even at low levels. I'm glad Imad got his vengeance. R.I.P., you skeezy little snake of a bandit, you.

That duel was sweet. Dovan didn't have a chance.
