Description this is Ellen James Butler...the youngest daughter of my best friend....taken in my sunroom over the past couple years. now i can't ever get rid of that old chair. well, at least as long as Ellen is around.

oh, it's time for a fifth frame....she's a bit older now

you can store it away and it will eb all cool when you pull it out once a year. a cool ritual

There was this photographer that did something like this with the families in his neighborhood. i read an article some years ago and now i wish i had made a note of his name. he did portraits in blocks of seven years or so....same setting and tried to match the expression. it was very cool to say the least.

You know, when I saw the photograph with your mother in blue in that museum...I forgot it was you who had taken it. This series of photos would've reminded me. Dig the technique (I think it would look strong in color even without the desaturation technique). Looking forward to seeing more of the series as the years fly by.

a fifth frame........how old is she now?
i like the way the back ground remains the same, as she grows older..........a snap shot of her growing up.......very nice...........
