what a neat shot! i just loove the b&w tones here.
the simplicity works well, giving it an isolated feeling and i love how she has the record, covering her face.
it adds a bit of mystery to the photo.

From a distance I thought the white circle was her face (i'm stuoid i know), and i thought : ow! such a strange but great effect), but now i think it's a very interresting effect and such emotive^^

i like the idea, rings bells somewhere with metaphors like hiding behind music etc.. i was suprised this wasn't in conceptual, but i'm glad its not and i tihnk its works better in this catagory, the fact its a emotive portrait first and foremost says something (although i'm not clever enough to say what exactly) lol.
i don't really mind that the quality isn't amazingly sharp or focused. it fits with the theme somehow, this i really like. so to does the desaturated colour.
i reckon its not cropped enough into the subject though, you can see too much around the model and I don't really think it adds to it, having it more close would probably be more personal / intimate?
