Day 17 of the 30 day photo challenge is supposed to be a photo of my biggest insecurity.I have vitiligo (loss of pigment in the skin)
I resent all of my "spots" except for this one and another heart shape on my foot.
takes a lot for me to post this on the internet but Im trying to embrace my physical flaws.

I just wanted to say that you are a beautiful woman, and I think vitiligo is not a flaw, just a part of who you are. At least you are not plus sized (like I am). Good for you for being courageous enough to embrace yourself.

I know what your going through, I have vitiligo too. I have been trying to hide and cover it up my spots for quite some time. In the past I would of never considered posting a photo of my vitiligo before. Now this inspires me to try and embrace my flaws as well.

wow , I wouldn't have the guts to photograph and post my greatest insecurity. I hope confronting it like this robs it of some of it's power over you.

It's very strong of you to post a picture like this, even though you feel self conscious. To be honest, it just makes you more unique! You are very beautiful and strong for embracing yourself as who you are.

I realized years ago that your loss of pigmentation in the skin, and always thought it is a very characteristic detail and is great, and this picture is the best demonstration.
