I love it! The expression on his face conveys so much of the character. Well done!

Nice work! Do you have any videos of you doing artwork? I'd love to see how you do this kind of thing with the different mediums, and to see how it all comes together.

thanks, I'm afraid I haven't entered the video age yet but there's a few WIP photos on my Ebay auctions (click that link in the description to get to them) and I did a couple more in-depth ones which you can see here whu-wei.deviantart.com/art/Gib… and here whu-wei.deviantart.com/art/Sev… which pretty much sum up how I work - it's just boring drawing really!

Ah, cool, thanks. It's great to see them come together. The different mediums you use go so smoothly together, it's brilliant

one useful trick I've learned more recently is using baby oil to blend & soften the different pencils & pastels as they don't always sit well together, and have been known to drive me mad!

Oh cool, I never would've thought of that. How do you apply the baby oil? 'Cause I would've thought that too much could damage the paper/drawing?

It can be a bit tricky but with care you can use a little on a Q-tip (those little double-ended cotton bud things on a piece of plastic). A torchon can help too but it tends to absorb the oil quickly.

Aah, nice. I might have to try that out. It does ring a bell that certain pencils didn't quite work when I tried using one on top of the other. Thanks for the tip
