sketch of 2014!CasI just wanted to take a moment and appreciate this fine ass mother fucker.
Out of all the Cas' in the show he really takes the cake for me. I mean despite ALL the shit he's been through, the croatoan virus, all the angels leaving, and him losing his grace, he STILL remains loyal and obedient towards Dean. Because no matter WHAT, no matter what MIGHT, or HAS happened he still believes Dean will get them out of any situation. He's dependent on Dean, but reliable, even though he may not be an angel anymore. Not to mention he looks DAMN SEXY with a popped collar and shotgun.

Seriously though- I my get frustrated sometimes wit how Cas and Dean are equally stubborn when they get something in their heads, but its even MORE frustrating when they refuse to realize how important they are to each other. Dean is like Cas's (self righteous) conscience, and Cas is Deans emotional crutch.
Really, if you think about it, Dean blames Cas for a LOT, and takes out a lot of his frustration on the angel, and the angel NEVER leaves him (except in Season 4 when he gets brainwashed into being a 'good' angel again). And it sucks cause when Cas asks Dean to trust him on the purgatory thing, Dean lashes out again. Its either his way or the high way. All Cas needed was support- albeit on a not-so-smart endevour, and instead of believing in his so called family, he basically declares war. And you know if the roles were reversed, Cas would have followed Dean in a heartbeat.

But then again, it could be because of Dean's past experiences with people backstabbing him. Cas was really the only one he could trust wholeheartedly. He believed that no matter what Cas would be there for him and that Cas would ever lie or keep secrets, and vise versa. To Dean, Cas wasn't like Sam, or his dad, or his mom. Cas was someone he thought he knew inside and out, someone he could trust his life with, but when Cas went behind his back and started working with Crowley instead of asking for Dean's help everything he believed in was smashed and turned to dust. The second Dean found out Cas had done what he did he was immediately thrown into the same category as Sam and everyone else. Someone that Dean loves but can't trust completely, which was the last thing Dean ever wanted. Cas was Dean's last strand of hope, that there was at least one person out there that he could trust and Cas let him down.
But I do agree that even with all that Dean did go a little too far, but I think he softened up at the end a little before they were both thrown into purgatory.
I LOVE ESSAYS but only if it's on a topic I like xD haha so it's all good
oh! and did you hear about s8 spoilers?! Like, how they were saying "CERTAIN RELATIONSHIP THAT FANS LOVE TO TALK ABOUT WILL GET ITS RESOLVE ON SCREENβ
