I started scrying a few weeks ago ive done it around 3 times with no result and each time trying something a little different to hopefully get a result the only things i keep the same are the dark safe room lit only by a candle my clear crystal ball about 4 inches all the way around that has next to no flaws except 3 small air bubbles that are hardly noticeable the objective i always keep in my mind and that is the only thing on my mind and my meditation. i play soothing Wiccan chants and songs while attempting my scrying. I tried scrying tonight about an hour ago and something happend. heres what happened:first i lit my candle and got my space ready
second i went out into the night after it had been raining looked at the nearly full moon and distant lighting and preyed to the god and goddess for strength and support on my journey
third i smoked a LEGAL blend of herbs known to help with intense relaxation
fourth i went back inside and began playing my meditation music, sat cross leg on my staging area, breathed deeply for a few moments and polished my crystal ball keeping my "intent" in my mind
fifth placed my candle between my legs and held my ball in my hands so the flame would illuminate my crystal ball
sixth breathed for a few more moments then stared into the crystal keeping my intent in my mind
-i had been searching the ball for about 5 minutes when a faded face appeared of a woman. this startled me not only because its the first thing thats come through but her eyes were glowing with the split image of the flame and that isnt at all what my intent was searching for.
see my father passed away this february and its caused me such emotional pain that i only wanted to see him on the other side so in my mind i repeated over and over "i want to see my father" and i kept is likeness in my mind. i began to see a silhouette of what he looked like about 5 minutes in but it quickly disappeared and was replaced by the image of the woman with the flaming eyes. the energy from this image was distinctly negative and brought me out of my trace.
Does anyone know what happened?

Could it be that someone is sending you bad mojo? I'm having that happening right now: some really zealous Christian people are making my family and I miserable. They fired my dad from his job and I think they're zoning in on my mom. If everyone could keep us in their prayers it would do so much for us...
Do you know if anyone is sending you bad mojo? If so, I recommend a binding spell. Just be sure that you include "and it harm none...may no innocent be harmed, only the person involved." Make it very clear that the baddie's energy returns to him three-fold by adding "may it harm none".

Sound like your 'inner demons' to me. Don't be scared... it symbolizes all the anger and pain you have inside.. Seeing her means you are ready to face your own emotions.

Don't see the bubbles as flaws, try using them as something to concentrate on. A focal point if you will. Having a focal point can help. Also scrying with anything else takes practice and patience. It is possible that your father may have already crossed over and is not able to be reached. Have you tried keeping something like a photograph near by when you scry? You could also try, but please be a little more cautious to scry on Samhain. When the veil is thinnest. The women with the flaming eyes could possibly be the gatekeeper to the otherside or the underworld. If you see her again ask of her if you could see your Father perhaps that will help as well. I haven't scryed with a crystal ball before, but it might either be the ball or your space needing a cleansing. Only thing I can think of. >.>
