Short Story Time

Dagger told October Zara agreed to come stay with them a while to get a Pony Club started and the fliers had been sent to the local stables and farms. The sound of a car pulling up told them they were no longer alone in the Mare barn. A tall slim girl dripping in black diamonds and the finest riding apparel stepped into the barn, a smaller girl following gazing around mouth agape. October learned the girl was Sasha and her smaller sister was Summer, they both had an interest in joining the small Pony team.

After learning they both needed horses to be registered with October led them down the hallway of the mare barn. Pointing to the horses that were currently for sell. Sasha's ice cold glare gave away no sign of interest. She stopped at Aztainium and asked how much for her, slowly changing her gaze to October. October laughed a bit then told her there was not way she could sell her. Sasha soon stopped at the stall door of Silwa, the gorgeous little mare looked at them then continued playing with her water bucket. Sasha and October came to a quick agreement over price and Silwa was sold. The training was of course to be supervised by October or Dagger.

Sasha turned to Summer and asked her which of the mares she liked and Summer simply said none. May I please see your geldings? October told her they had none only stallions. The blond girl blushed and said ohh silently. October took them to the stud barn anyway and showed the girl her prized studs then the less known stallys. Sasha stared mouth agape at War Lord and once again asked how much, October told her War Lord was her personal steed and he was going no where. Poor little Summer couldn't see over all the doors so she stood on her tip toes and tried her best to look at the gorgeous horses. October was busy talking to Sasha as heavy hooves were heard coming down the aisleway. Harvest had escaped again and walked up to the small girl now jumping up and down in front of the mischievous Grave Digger's stall as he happily nipped at her fingers in the process. Harvest put his head down and breathed out on the little girl's neck. She turned around and touched his large white noes with her little hand. He mouthed over her head asking for invisible treats. Summer tugged on his snow white forelock and asked him to walk toward the two deep in discussion elders. Excuse me, she whispered; I think I found the horse I want to ride. October laughed and agreed to let the small child ride him under many safety precautions and private lessons.
