I feel like I managed to widdle down the conflict from the final episode into like, three panels of this page lol

I understand wanting to show that the Gems are trying to respect Steven's choices and that the four of them aren't great at communicating their feelings but like...I really don't think the Entire Last Episode needed to have that as the main conflict.

I feel like the last episode was trying to convey that Steven was confident and sure of the next step he was going to take in life, but unsure if the Gems loved and supported him in this endevour...but if the Gems were actually making good on the promises they made to him in I Am My Monster, I think he'd already know the answer to that question because they would be actually giving him love and support.

So the comic is more like...he's confident enough that his family loves him because they've been doing a good job of showing it over the past however many months, but he's not totally sure of what his next step in life is gonna be.
