The look on Rose's face as she talks to Steven is the look of a woman who's lived a very turbulent life full of ups and downs.

I really enjoy your comics! It's been really enjoyable to see how people have evolved PD lol; she went from a mystery, to a total brat, then 'oh wait she's Rose never mind she's good'. Although it kinda doesn't seem to work in the show for me (gem size and all) It'll be interesting how they pull it off and explain how Rose and Pearl did it, and perhaps we'll learn more about Diamond gems!
I really like the drawing with PD and Pearl in the middle, it's really cute. Kinda gave me an idea for a comic for you if you want to hear it.

While I still don't think Rose is a bad person, I do understand the frustration the other Gems would have for her, makes me wonder now if Steven ever did get to meet Rose, what his immediate reaction would be?

I would imagine one of the spirit quest scenes from Black Panther;
Steven: "Mom... why didn't you tell the others?"
Rose: "...It was the part of my past I chose to omit..."
Steven: "You were wrong to lie to them, to lie to ME!"
Rose: "Steven, I chose Earth, I chose mankind, our future depended on-."
Steven: "You are WRONG! (Turns to face all the Crystal Gems) ALL OF YOU ARE WRONG!!! To hide the truth from those you loved most. You let the fear of your discovery stop you from doing what was right! No more! I cannot stay here with you. I cannot rest while the other Diamonds plot Earth's destruction. Their rage, is a monster of our own making... I must take your Gem back, I must right this wrong..."

Perhaps, except the actual Crystal Gems really are not at fault here. And they honestly have not kept a whole lot from Steven, only things that make sense.

Pretty much, the other Crystal Gems didn't seem to protest to the fact that Rose seemed to keep many skeletons in her closet, at least until now that is, so Steven making it very clear that he is fed up with the whole "hiding the ugly truth to become a martyr" shtick has only led to the people they loved most hurting each other. And while I don't think Rose ever intended to hurt the others with this secret, her insecurity about her nature as a Diamond is now the reason why many are worried this may very well be the end of the Crystal Gems, at least as we knew them.
Honestly, this reminds me a lot of the Justice League cartoon and what they did with Hawkgirl, Where it turned out that she was not who she said she was and lied to everybody she was close to, especially Green Lantern since even though they were in a relationship, she was already engaged to someone else. What she was didn’t undermine the good she did, but she still hurt and betrayed everyone. That’s kind of where we are right now with Rose Quartz. The only difference being that Rose is gone, and thus cannot make up for what she did or even explain herself. Although if she were still around, it wouldn't surprise me at all if her attitude was a lot like Shayera's in Justice League Unlimited.
