That's right, isn't it?! I was so surprised when I tried drawing them in the beginning! And it didn't work out for a looong while, years actually. lol I'm pass that point finally, though

LOL XD they really are hard, cause if you don't do them right they look weird, and it takes a very long time to get used to the style. And I've been trying for as long as I've had a da. But I'm close!

What a good commission! You managed to put a lot of personality into this one, and even from a chibi I think I have a good idea as to what she would be like as a character. I also really like the makeup that you put around her eyes and cheeks; it's something I don't see much of in chibi drawings. Most people skip those kinds of details unless they're really apparent.

I always try to keep all the details of the character even in the chibi form. If that's possible of course. I admit it was the first time I drew make up on a chibi. It doesn't really happen often in manga style, not a "realistic" make up like smokey eyes here. For this character her make up is very characteristic, I'd be an ignorant to skip that.

Smokey-eyes and her makeup are definitely well used in this, and I always love looking at your dedication to making it as perfect as it can be.
