I made the flatcolor for this FOREVER ago, and I still really liked it, but I didn't like the shading I had started. So I decided to ditch the shading and start over with just the flatcolor. I've owned this character for a few months now, and I really need to make her a proper ref because I'm honestly in LOVE with her!She's a Fayleit, a species created by Kiocah , and I adopted her from an egg a while back
Fayleits help bring about the changes of seasons, and her season is Fall! Her feather represents birds flying south for the winter
I'm still debating a name (I really want something space related)
I've been thinking I like Kuiper or Tauri

This is amazing!! The shading is just outstanding and the fur and lines....wow. Your art has definitely come quite a way, and this is just magnificent. The paws are great, the lighting, the technique, it is all done so wonderfully!! Your style is doing a thing, and it is a good thing aaaa
There are a few things I would say could be changes though, of course that is the point of the critique. I think maybe next time focus on the proportions of the head/body, I have a real struggle with this as well. The actually body aside from the legs seems to be a tad bit too big for the characters head. Also, the eye seems a little too....open? It seems like it is looking at something REALLY shocking x33 the eyes doesn't look bad at all!! The detail and highlights are great, it just look a little odd how open it is.
This drawing isn't at all bad though, it is super fantastic actually. The visual impact is just like...woah. The pose is a little unoriginal but like, there are only so many poses yanno? x3 It looks cute here. The technique is definitely 5 stars, the shading and highlights and how you colored the lines and just everything, again, woah. The over all impact is huge, it is such an eye catcher, just the proportions seem a little off.

I havent gotten any critiques on my stuff in so long, then suddenely I get three on my three most recent picture in two days ;o;
thanks for the critique! The lines are definitely a bit older than the shading, I didn't bother to change them up at all when I went back and finished this the other day. I'll definitely keep the proportions in mind for the future though!
