Aww thanks ^^ yeah I highly recommend adopting older dogs from rescues and shelters. They have been vaccinated, temperament tested, spayed/neutered and they're out of the crazy puppy stage and on some occasions with Jer-Z he was at a rescue and they had already house trained him, it's pretty awesome lol

I never much fancied puppies lol they are cute and all but they chew on everything and adolescent dogs are just horrible animals XD they jump on everyone and everything and they're just too hyper for me lol

I'd have to agree. Young dogs are really challanging! lol
I've come across people who get puppies, thinking it will be easy, then having to give them up at a shelter because they had no idea what they were in for. It's really a shame.
I'm actually working on training my neibor's puppy a little bit. She's a border collie boxer mix that they rescued from a shelter. She has the potential to be an awesome dog, but she nips, pees when excited, jumps up in your face, charges everyone she sees (in a playful way), but at least is slowly getting better. I'm already seeing some change in her, she's really smart, but just a bit crazy. XD

Omg border collies and boxers are both sooo hyper active, I got run over by my uncle's collie I hated that dog xD we had some friends with an older boxer named Roxie, she was really sweet but I've seen some psycho ones too xD they just need to learn that not everyone wants to play all the freakin time lol but training a dog when it's young can literally save its life later, I hate seeing dogs in the shelter.

I know right? I've known plently of boxers, and most of them cant wait to get right in your face! Because of this, quite a few times the puppy got nipped at by some older dogs that did not want anything to do with her. XD I suppose it's good she's realising not every dog wants her climbing all over them. I'm just grateful her owners are very deturmined to keep at her training and not give up.

I like the redish brown and white ones best and I also know one, who's a very light shade of brown, but with darker brown brindle, he's also quite a beauty. :3
Aww, poor boy he had to live as a stray, but he's got a good home now. :3
Yeah, it sounds pretty interesting. c8
My pooch is plain black. XD Which isn't that exciting a colour, but also nice, I think. ;3

With lotsa white like a piebald or with white markings like mine? I like the solid jet black ones like that pit in the movie "Black Dog"

He is the best dog I've had, if you look closely you can see my reflection(my head and shoulders) in his right eye

What a handsome boy! Love those eyes, he's very pretty. And respect for you for adopting a dog, let alone a pitbull. That breed has a bad reputation, just like many other breeds, but it's caused by people, not the animals. All those dogs I've met have been wonderful. My dad used to breed rottweilers so yeah. When I'm old enough and have my own space (minimum age is 20 around here to adopt an animal) I very much intend to rescue a puppy/young dog. They all deserve a second chance (:

I bet if left inside mine would eat everything XD
My family has had three rottweilers, all named Samson
I think I would be good at fostering but may get attached lol

Aww yeah xD The rotties couldn't be left unsupervised with anything that smelled like it could be eatable lol.
Yeah I believe I would do good at fostering, but my heart would break when I'd have to give the dog away... Respect for the people who are able to do that lol

I was raking today and looked over and Jer-Z was dragging a limb around that was bigger than he was lol the funniest part was when he tried to go between two trees with the limb in his mouth XD
Either I am a really good trainer or the dog is a genious cuz he picks up on commands real quick, so yeah, a good fosterer def, giving the dog up, not so much XD

Aww bless him. One of my fathers rotties used to pick up small, fallen trees when walking in forests and well of course it didn't turn out too well for her when she tried to get somewhere with it xD
All dogs I've ever been with have been super fast learners or I might have been clear enough, who knows. But yeah giving up the dog is not the fun part.

If you adopt from a shelter these dogs have been through a battery of tests to asess them for any signs of aggression toward people, children, dogs, cats, around food etc so a rescue pit is the best dog ever imo. Mine is scared to death of this fluffy little white dog down the street, it's sad XD
