A lovely hand and a lovely lady bug. The idea is timeless and you brought it out well with the delicate life in your model's hand. A great photo!
Did you have to photoshop some of the background to make it lighter?

What makes it all so interesting is the contrast between that ladybug (so full of colour) and the rest of the pic (only b&w). It's like the message is: 'You actually have to find happiness in little, simple things that life offers you'. Well... this one is full of contrast. Another one would be the size. I'm so afraid when I put myself in the place of that ladybug... She sees everything so big... I bet she's really scared. I hope you took good care of her and said special thanks to her, too.
It's cute, pure, childish... I so like it.

I'm glad you agree with the fact that the color/b&w contrast turned out to be a blast. You deserve a lotta for that idea alone
Yeah, I'm pretty impressed, too, about how the contrast in size came out. This was actually a snapshot; the bug came, landed in her palm, 'wohoa get the camera! quick!', 'wait! I got the camera! where's the button?', 'hurry! she'll go away!', 'wait wait! ah there it is!', and I took the shot At the moment wasn't really satisfied with the pic, but hey, eventually I saw that Photoshop could lend a hand. Or more.
