Description A premier in my garden: Egyptian henbane (Hyoscyamus muticus) is flowering!
This is the only plant out of around 40 seedlings that made it this far. I have learnt a few lessons.
1. It germinates quite fast and easily.
2. The seedlings grow fast initially but then it is one of the slowest growers I have had yet.
3. They don't like transplanting. At all. This is how I lost most of the plants.
4. It likes the sun and warmth. The summers here kick off too late and last too short.
I keep praying there will be seed before the first night frosts.

if you can keep an incandescent light near it and cover it with a cage of light muslin or something with the light within the muslin, then that could help...go online and see how citrus plants are helped in winter while in the ground...i'm sure you'll find some good ideas that will extend this plants season some how.
