Description Elbehochwasser 04.06.2013

Eindrücke vom Geschehen am Terrassenufer/Brühlsche Terrasse, aufgenommen gegen 19.00 Uhr, als die Elbe einen Wasserstand von ca. 7,70 m hatte. Der Pegel steigt derzeit weiter um einige Zentimeter pro Stunde.

Thanks for the comment! It was a strange atmosphere that day, somewhat tense but also strangely cheerful because the sun was shining bright, there were lots of people out, enjoying themselves even though the water level still continued to rise...

We've had some semi-flood stage times here this spring/summer, when one feels drawn to just gaze at the elemental rush of it all.

It's nice to hear a little bit about what the day was like, I really do like the sparrow and her bird thoughts.
