A painting of the Skull Kid from The Legend of Zelda Twilight princess. I always wanted to do this painting and was so in a Twilight Princess mood for a while. This took so long because I kept bailing on it and wanting to do something else xD But it's finally finished, yay~ I think it turned out pretty good, I love the skull kid, he's adorable. I hope to do more Zelda art at some point but for now I need to finish a commission, a Game Grumps Animated video, another kids book and do some actual goddamn work on a comic I've been putting off for way too long.
At least I finally uploaded something though, eh? *slithers off and not return until another few months*

Would it be alright if I used this picture in one of my upcoming videos called So Cold Zelda XXXIX? This one is a special; instead of the usual 10 songs, there are 12. This really fits the theory with this Skull Kid. Fans believe that he's the same one form Ocarina and Majora. before Link (the Hero of Time) passed away and became the Shade, he went to Skull Kid and gave him his sword to guard for when his descendant would come and claim it. This could be the time Skull spends waiting with just the sword and Saria's song to remind him of his old friend. So when Twilight Link arrives, Skull Kid guides him to the sword but not before he tests him to be sure it's really his friend's descendant. That's why he plays the song Link taught him and plays games with him. he's reliving the happy memories of his past.

You actually made him cute... LOL Very nice. The one thing that stood out to me as a criticism would be the reflections in the water...they could use some smoothing out. The scratchy look of them both clashes with the ethereal mood of the rest of the piece and does not look like it's in the water. Otherwise though, I really like this piece!

Yeah, I know what you mean. In fact, the water ripples were very difficult to paint and I agree with you there, I'll need to work on that. :/

Yeah, it does look like he's waiting for someone, awww x'3 That's a nice interpretation because he could be waiting or doing anything really- it's up to you xD Originally, I thought he was just calmly watching the sky but I guess he could be doing anything like waiting for his friends to play with him x3
