I know I haven't commented before on all the faves - been busy recent with stuffs - but now that I have a moment I have to say how much I admire all the work that went into these costumes. As a seamstress/designer myself, I know how difficult it is not only to create the vision, or even consider the practical aspects of someone else's vision, but to make it real and then wear it convincingly. You both look like you've walked straight out of the pages of fantasy without a glitch. And your photographer did an excellent job. I do hope I can make it to Dragon Con in the future - it seems like I missed out on so much fun (in my defence, my opt-out has to do with health).

personal health always comes first. if you can make it to D*C, do it! it's awesome and we'll be there!

Thanks for the compliments... to be honest the red costume didn't have a whole lot go into it... it was a throw together from several other pieces. my wife and I owned a costume company making custom orders for LARPers. and selling supplies at cons... thanks again for the compliments.

Love the crystal clear photo! It seems difficult to get good photo's with such an ebony skin tone but you've managed it. You fit Jarlaxle's personality well; I like the fact that you always seem to be the one to slack an arm over Entreri's shoulder...It seems exactly like a way the drow would try to annoy that assassin. Keep up the good work!

great one! geeze what kind of products do you have to use to get such an even black skin tone? it's really good! usually people do a shitty job and it's all blotchy... but you look like a drow good sir ^^

thanks. I used a new make-up this time, but I had a bad reaction to it. Ben Nye professionals clown make-up. and lots of practice doing make-up. I usually use a mixture of charcoal powder and baby oil, then set with transparent setting powder+charcoal powder to remove shine, and seal with ben nye final seal to make it stay on.

yeah the charcoal might have made your skin hurt if that was the mix you reacted to. but very cleverly done XD

no, the charcoal powder is the BEST! for my skin, the ben nye professionals made my skin break out. It looked good, and even, but my skin didn't like it.

lol that's all that counts. it looked good. same with ren faire. the bodice is killing me and bruising my ribs and making it impossible to breathe, and putting my boobs under my chin, but at least it looked good for the part. lol

I kind of like how the M-is it?-in the words on the wall behind almost make it look like you're giving him bunny ears again I also do love the crispness of the photo to see the fine details in both of your costumes and how great you two both did the characters
