I heard about the situation involving 's suspension seemingly orchestrated by some group of people because of some conflict. I first found out about it from 's feed and 's call to arms

Well, :iconamazonarrow: has come up with the terrific idea of assembling an art jam completely dedicated to :iconcuria-dd: to flood DA with Curia and Miss Denise Miller images during her absence. I'm asking right here and right now to all my buddy artists and good friends out there to join in and help us to give :iconcuria-dd: the warmest welcome back once that she comes back. You can find all the specifics about it in :iconamazonarrow: 's journal:

Even if you don't draw nor write stuff, or you don't have time to make something for this event, I think it would be a nice thing if you just tag :iconcuria-dd: in one journal or status update in your page to show her your support during these awful moments, that would be good

I do not know the details. I do not know what images were banned or why. I do not know both sides of the story. I have little to zero interaction with any of the parties involved. Ever since I first came to DA I just sort of kept my head down and went about my business. People who reached out were nothing but supportive and I wouldn't have grown as an artist without this community.

But the issue here is something I take very seriously. In no stretch of the imagination is it ever ok to use censorship as a weapon. I know this argument is thrown around a lot these days and I sorta roll my eyes when I hear it, but this is literally what the Nazis did. Anyone who had a different opinion was silenced. Anyone who argued or fought with the ones in charge were made to disappear. How could any artist support such actions?

Like I said, I do not know Curia. I'm awkward and antisocial and I make ridiculous comics. There's a very good chance that she's seen some of my work somewhere and flat out hated it. It is also very possible that she would be appalled to see her OC even in the same room as any of my OCs. But being attacked by her is something I never worried about. She supports this platform and everyone's right to use it. And for that, #welovecuria
