She may not have had a make-over recently, but I have noticed since the "Hearthfire" update Lydia seems to have had an attitude adjustment... she no longer has that sarcastic tone when you ask her to carry something. Which makes her less of a bore to drag around the countryside. Still it'd be good to get her into fur bikini once in a while. It'd be a lot easier on the eye than yet another set of armour.

Chuckle.
You seem to be much advanced over me. I'm at level 30... And at this point it seems she can't carry much of anything, and doesn't really fight much. Basically, I take her along to be the target when there are multiple bad guys in a dungeon. Is that normal? Or am I missing something? I can't even take the magical staffs and recharge them for her--I can't give them back (overburdened, it says). I even tried taking all of her good armor. Nothing helps. She's just overburdened all of the time.

From my own experience - Try taking everything off her & giving her something lightweight, like Elven or Glass Armour. (She can't be killed -unless you accidently stab her- so this all she needs to hold her own in a dust-up). One decent sword & shield, & maybe a good Bow should suffice for her weapons. Then see if she can carry extra loot.
I hardly bother with staffs as I prefer the bashing-in-the-head method of settling disputes.
I got my own stamina up to 500 so can haul a ton of stolen booty out of castles & caves & just use Lydia for extra's I can't manage when I'm being greedy.
Buy / build a house & make sure you dump / sell all your treasure before going any quests, 'cos they'll always be something you want at the arse end of some cave that you can't drag out & wished you had extra capacity.

I'll try again to strip her down to next to nothing, and see if it helps. And yes, she can be killed if you run into a bunch of really bad news characters. I've had her killed a couple of times with some of the forsworn briarhearts and hagravens. She also got into it with someone who turned her into an ash pile. LOL... I was looking for her after the fight, and couldn't find her. I figured she'd gone off chasing one of the bad guys or something, which she does now and then... so as I was gathering gold, etc., off the bad guys, I checked this ash pile and it was Lydia... burned to a crisp. I tried going 'home' and she stayed gone, so she'd really been killed.

Oh crap.... didn't realise that.... she's taken some pretty bad beatings with me, but she never died. (I accidently killed her once, so had to rewind to last checkpoint to get her back). I just assumed she could have the snot beaten out of her by NCP's, but not actually killed. Gonna have to take much more care with her from now on.

She's really hard to kill, I'll admit. But when you go to places like Karthspire--and you've got 2 or 3 hagravens, a half-dozen briarhearts, and maybe 20 more foresworn types to fight, sometimes she ends up in the butcher's bill. LOL... I admit I will try and sic her on a really mean SOB and let her wear him down a bit before I get into the fray. Her natural aggressiveness will have her jump in where caution is in order. LOL...

And speaking of whuppings... I just backed all the way out of a Falmer/Dwemer cave. Too many Falmer bad guys with their damned black, mean pets in one spot, and I can't sucker them into coming after me one at a time in a tunnel where I stand a chance of winning. (Another place to go back to when I level up a few more times or come up with some super weapon that kills with one good whack.

Have you got the "Sanguine Rose" staff yet? That's really good for those situations, as it raises a really badass Deidric, that can thin out the hords a bit before you go join the fray.
If you havn't got it, find a guy called Sam at the "Bannered Mare" in Whiterun, get drunk with him & follow that quest until the end.

Okay... I'll try that. I just got a decent staff that makes anyone lower than my level stop fighting for 30 seconds. That should give me time to kill most of problems. I have no idea how they figure out what a 'chaurus's' level is. I know they can put a hurt on you in a real hurry. LOL... That's one of the times I'll throw Lydia out there first, if I can convince her to go.

Bowski--Productions [2013-03-05 08:20:00 +0000 UTC]

Very clever composition, which is almost overlooked because of it's simplicity...

In the west we read left to right, so our eye is at first drawn to the lovely archer. Her diagonal arrow suggests strong vectoring & promotes dynamism.
Having the big, brawny guy at the forefront but positioned right creates a real 3 dimensional feel that is hard to deny. Or it could be that I'm clueless & just talking bollox.

Colours, posing & post-production are, as always, first rate!
