Description Do Indian pythons have hypnotic powers? The answer is no. There is no scientific evidence that pythons can hypnotize their prey. But, where did the myth come from? The myth may have originated from observing small prey becoming frozen with fear when confronted by pythons. However, these creatures are not being charmed. Pythons have no eyelids and they never blink. While pythons rock their head from side to side to help with their depth perception, they are not performing hypnosis, unlike that pocket watch.
