The Soloman Islands is home to the prehensile-tailed skink. The prehensile-tailed skink is so named for its hanging tail that grips into branches. Unlike other skinks, the prehensile-tailed skink is a herbivore, eating many different fruits and vegetables. Despite having threats of habitat destruction, the prehensile-tailed skink has not yet being endangered.
