Here in the rainforests of Brazil, we find a hyacincth macaw being perched on the Acrocomia palm tree. Hyacincth macaws feed mainly on the nuts of palm trees. Their strong beaks can break open hard nuts and eat the kernals. The hyacincth macaw is the largest parrot om the world, but it is still vulnerable from habitat loss and pet trade.
