Description As night falls in the forests of Australia, we see a cauldron of little red flying foxes taking off from the trees and head into the river. Little red flying foxes live in a very arid environment, so they skim the surface of rivers, then lap the water from their fur. However, there are dangers in the river, such as the freshwater crocodile. This reptilian predator will snap any one of the flying fox in the air. Freshwater crocodiles will also place themselves beneath the overhanging roosts of little red flying foxes, and employ a strategy of thrashing at the shoreline to induce panic and aerial collisions.
