The New Oak, Glenmore

Laodice has reached betrothal age, and weds a stag whose beauty and nobility rival those of Glenmore's finest legends. A proud strong Lord dark as a night in the wood, a shy slender princess with a pelt as light as the sun, they make as perfect a pair as there ever could be to the crowd of Glenmore royals and staff come to watch. Laodice smiles as she was taught, but beneath the veneer of perfection fear threatens to overwhelm her in the face of this looming dark stranger. The young doe doesn't know what the future will hold, only that nothing will ever be the same again...
