Your image is beautiful. The tone is so amazing......
I can relate to you - my mom passed away in August from cancer. I took her so fast.

I love this one. Look at my images in pen and ink from the poem Scissors and Knives. I use crows and vultures to express I don't know, pain, loss, a familiar companion of illness. I've had tumors, but not cancer. Now my sister is being tested for Cancer of the Liver. Cancer is now a familiar companion in all our lives, and with it comes strength, humor, pain, fear, love, and sometimes loss. I love your work, for I think it reflects the reality of so many of us. A strong inner determination accompanied by a quiet desperation experienced alone in our soul. Your work expresses so much! Thank you for sharing your journey...Sincerely...Annie

Man, Barbara, where the heck have you been? You still have all those people living with you? They need to leave, so we can have you here all the time. Lol!
Oh, yeah. This is absolutely stunning. It conveys the meaning very well. The blue heart was a perfect touch for blue feelings. The crow was good for showing the cancer-or the "eating of it". The loss of feathers as loss of hope. The balloons are a nice counter balance for the feathers. There may be loss of hope, but never loss of courage.

Beautifully captured. I can't imagine what that must be like to go through something like that but your work says it all. How fragile she is there perched up on the ledge.
