Description This show is so awesome and I'm so glad I started watching it!

Back when it was officially announced that there was going to be Tangled TV show, I was excited and slightly annoyed with the news. Mainly because reboots kind of have a bad rep of ruining the original content with some new gen stuff that sometimes contradicts the original aspects of the plot, characters and/or backgrounds and since Tangled was my favorite Disney movie (with a princess protaganist), I was afraid that they might ruin what I love about Rapunzel. But, holy crap, I was SOOOOOO wrong!

The plot is so riveting, what with the mystery of the Black Rocks and Rapunzel's odd connection with them and the characters are so well defined! Their personalities and relationships with each other are very realistic and it makes it hard to not find them relatable. But the character that completely stole my heart was our resident dorky alchemist, Varian! He tries so hard to help others and he's very smart. Plus, the fact that he's voiced by Jeremy Jordan makes me Varian even more! But, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Near the end of the season, Varian turns evil, commits treason and threatned to destroy Corona and kill Queen Arianna. Yikes... I love him and I understand why he was so hellbent on revenge, but that doesn't justify his actions and how he reacted. But, nonetheless, he's just a scared boy and he did things that he thought were justifiable, he just needs to see the error of his ways. All I know is that they better give Varian a Zuko-style redemption arc!

Ugggggggggh! That show is so dumb! Honestly, they never should've made it. The Lion King franchise ended when they made the sequel and it carried a good legacy. But, noooooo, Disney decided to milk it even more and create that completely unecessary show!

As a person who grew up watching TLK, I can say you're absolutely right. TLG should never be part of TLK canon. Why? Because Simba and Kiara's personalities are all messed up, it isn't inspirered by anything Shakespeare, andΒ Mattie Brodrick isn't playing Simba.Β

Speaking of tlk 2 and Hetalia, D'you catch the TLK 2 ref in the story? Β The one where Lovi and Cata were talking, Toni and Aurembiax come out of nowhere and told them that they couldn't hang out anymore. Β

You're not wrong at all! After everything Varian went through with the Black Rocks and his father, he was alone and since nobody helped him, he felt like his only option was to get revenge on those who've turned their backs on him (and while yes, Rapunzel didn't help Varan, she was busy with a life-threatning situation, so it's understandable why she couldn't help him).

It's not about her being unable to help him during the storm it's that she didn't follow up on it after everything was fine I Blame her for that you do know pascals story cannonily takes place after queen for a day she was able to drop everything to look for pascal Also she had plenty of time to check on varian afterwards Months

That is also very true. Rapunzel promised to help Varian uncover the mysteries of the Black Rocks and when he needed help because of those rocks and she turned her back and didn't even think to help him. But what really irks me is that when after Varian tricks Rapunzel to get the Sundrop Flower, she goes out and calls him a bad guy. Like, girl, you knew he needed you! You could've TRIED to help Varian and if you couldn't, at least be there for him! He wouldn't have needed to trick her if Rapunzel could've just been with him. In a way, Rapunzel is kind of at fault for making Varian turn to a path of revenge.Β

He looks great in your style! =^_^= I especially love his cheerful expression.

I have yet to watch this series in it's entirety, but I have enjoyed what little I have seen. Like you mentioned, I also tend to be a little wary when it comes to reboots like this. In Disney's case they're usually not horrible, but tend to be unnecessary. I'm glad to see this isn't the case with "Tangled".

Thank you so much!

You should definitely watch it! Also, it's true that Disney does make pretty good reboots, they are unnecessary. But this show gives a lot of life to the world of Tangled by introducing real world situations that you might find yourself in and nice and important (to the plot) history of Corona. It's very well thought out and I think you'll like it!

You're very welcome! =^_^=

Yeah. Even "Lilo & Stitch: The Series" isn't bad, but it's more or less a rip off of a Pokemon type show. I understand why people enjoy them, but I'm one who tends to believe less is more.

Exactly. When I saw the world building and the plot, I realized they weren't just doing it as a quick cash grab. You can tell they honestly care about what they're creating, and that's wonderful. =^_^= Not to mention the animation is downright gorgeous!

I guess it was kind of like a Pokemon rip-off show, but at least it made sort of made sense with the whole "capturing the other experiments to prevent them wrecking havoc across Hawaii" thing (which they ended up doing) compared to the "capture all of the Pokemon even though there's an infinite amount of them" thing. Nevertheless, I see your point.

They really do care! And personally, I feel like it's been awhile since Disney made a well written and nicely made reboot! I hope Disney keeps up the good work!

You make an excellent point, at least there was more of purpose. There's just many things I think should be left alone because people take them too far.

I think they've been doing pretty well with their reboots so far, DuckTales is showing promise. Or at least I've enjoyed what I've seen so far. There are bits and pieces of the animation I feel could be done better, but that's usually the case with the first season of most animated shows.
