Poppy, a generational Witch who lives isolated in the forest. Everything she knows, either her parents taught her, or she has in the many books she's inherited from prior generations.

Her parents disappeared when she was young (around 10 or so) and so she grew up pretty much alone save for one friend who she falls in love with (and vice versa), Reginald a.k.a. Reg. She is soft-spoken, hesitant but helpful, and fearful of strangers. Most strangers want to harm her when they learn she's a witch.

Her power comes from her blood, which is why it's generational/passed down. She has the capacity to do anything she sets her mind to. However, she doesn't care for doing much but raising plants to use as food and medicine, healing others without asking for anything in return.

She is incredibly intelligent. She uses the staff a focus point, having been drenched in her blood and the gem built with her powers. It was the first thing she created on her own without help from her parents (and boy, were they proud of her).

She and Reginald were blessed by the Celestials to end up together. They were friends first before falling in love but that love....

Well, sometimes Fate likes to intervene and destroy the notions left by Humanity.

You don't always get what you want.

And certainly, things are not as they appear to you.
