most hovercraft were used in area in low tide of shallow water so thinks like beaches were a place to see them
they were mostly used on cross channel travel

Exactly.Β In fact, the main inspiration for this hovercraft was the cross-channel ones, the 'Mountbatten' class.

if i remember they are no longer in service but their are two surviving examples which are the mk III verison

If anything, I'd say scale down the door next to the loading ramp, comparing it to the chair in the cabin it looks way too big.
That's my only point of contention though, really digging this.

The one in that movie (the Mountbatten class) is actually the main inspiration for Hubert - although Hubert is a bit smaller (but not by much).
