Story:

Jose was headed out to train 4 of the yearlings; Hysteria, Tapping Into Love, King's Symphony and Sun Dream. He had decided to spend a few hours training the yearlings in groups of 4. Unfortunately the yearlings had other ideas. Holding the four halters in his hand he sent Jeb out to round up the four selected yearlings. The two fillies bucked and started to gallop, the two colts following close behind. Jeb chased the foals around the yard for a good half hour before they got tired and allowed themselves to be herded to the gate and haltered. By the time Jose got the yearlings to the arena he was exhausted. "We have too many babies..." he sighed. They still hadn't decided what to do with the colts. If they were going to be gelded or remain as stallions.

Jose decided to start lunging the mahogany colt King's Symphony first. This gorgeous colt was half Arab, half Andalusian. The colt is beautiful to watch, his prancing steps and light but strong body gave the impression that he would be one hell of a dressage horse. King tossed his head and lifted his feet quite high. looking very nice indeed. After a few minutes Jose heard a thump and looked up onto the sideboards of the arena to see Lucifer and Spook sitting on the top of the boards watching the him lunge King.

The cats stayed on the boards and watched as Jose lunged the last three youngsters. They were filling out nicely and were overall very well behaved on the lunge line. Just not so much after that. Leading the foals back out to the pasture they started to get antsy and shake their heads and pull. As soon as they were released the yearlings raced off back to the group while Jose sent Jeb back out for the next four yearlings.

At the end of the day Jose was exhausted. He was in charge of training the yearlings and weanlings. As a result he didn't exactly have much time to ride his own horses. Walking to the mare pasture he whistled softly and Ebony galloped up for a treat, nuzzling Jose's hand and whickering softly. After saying good night to the mares he walked over to the mansion to talk to Siranni a bit about the situation of the foals. They had two major decisions. Gelding and training. He needed to spend time training his riding horses as well, so he was planning to ask for another person to be hired to help out with the youngsters so that he'd have more time with his show horses.

Jose knocked quietly on the door to Siranni's office. She was up late looking at cattle for Dereck's request of having cattle to train the western horses in roping and cutting. "Come in" she said tiredly. Giving Jose and Jeb a tired smile she asked Jose over to the chair and Jeb raced to the fireplace and plopped down in front of it to sleep. "What do you think of these two? I have a couple more to look at but these seem to be the most likely prospects so far". "Hmmmmmmm they look alright but I'm no judge of cattle", Jose replied. Bluntly he asked her, "We need to hire another trainer. I have zero time for the Padro's you assigned me much less my regular show horses. I have to ask Leo and Kat to work them". "Well I think we need another trainer and another rider", Siranni mused. "Too bad Alica is so young" Jose laughed, "She's turning into a pretty good rider!". "She is. She'll be better than me anyways", replied Siranni. "You aren't that bad chica" he laughed. Siranni joined his laughing and closed her computer. "I'll send out ads tomorrow" she promised. "Good night Jose" she smiled waltzing out to her room. "Good night Siranni", he replied. He looked longingly at the door to her room. Oh how he wanted to hold her and kiss her lips. Sighing he slipped into his room and quickly changed into his pj's. Jumping into bed he settled down for another restless night.
