Story:
Chimera was excited. The buckskin mare pawed at the ground with her foreleg and shook her head. Her braided mane had taken Misty so long to get properly braided. Dereck had managed to find some orange and black ribbons, but Misty had decided just to use the orange ribbons since Chimera already has a black mane. Mira sat outside the stall and watched as Chimera was being groomed and pampered. Chimera snorted at Mira and the Borzoi mix gave a wuff of laughter. "What the hell is so funny?", Misty said looking at her dog, "You guys having some secret conversation or something?". Mira wagged her tail and Chimera nodded her head nibbling on Misty's hair. "Excuse me madam but my hair is not food", Chimera just snorted and continued nibbling. Once Misty was done with her Dereck arrived looking slightly spooky. Slightly. "Jeez zombie cowboy. How original", Misty said looking at him and rolling her eyes. Dereck grabbed her arm and pulled her close "You might want to watch out little Miss. This Zombie is getting hungry", Dereck replied staring intently into Misty's eyes. Misty laughed and pulled away to clip Chimera's lead rope on. "If I remember correctly Mister Hungry Zombie has ten minutes to get himself to the arena", Misty said handing him the lead rope. "I'm going I'm going!", Dereck replied as he and Chimera made their way to the arena. Mira followed them, the gray - brown Borzoi mixing in with the mist very well. Chimera narrowed her eyes at the decorated ring, staring suspiciously at the gate which had been replaced by a Black Widow gate. She saw witch's hats, black cats, bats and pumpkins decorating the arena. The announcer was wearing a costume as well. Though Chimera had no idea what it was. Whatever it was it sure didn't look human. Dereck led Chimera to the centre of the ring. He unclipped her lead rope and waited for the judges signal to start. As the judge gave the signal the music began to play and Chimera easily fell into the steps that Dereck and Misty had taught her to perform.
