Nice photo and it is really surprising for me why there is no person, when you took photo. It is really impossible to find Taj Mahal without any guide and tourists. βΊ

This was very early in the morning. I waited for the gates to open and I was the first person in. I was able to shoot for quite a while without anyone in my shots.

I went there the afternoon before and there were people everywhere, so I found out when it opened and got there half an hour early to be front of queue.

OH MY LORD...........
This is superb: a Wildplaces original photo of the most iconic edifice in the East of the world...
But I've always wanted to know:Β What is it like on the inside?

Unfortunately I didn't get to see much of the interior. I arrived for sunset and by the time I'd shot all around the exterior they were closing up for the day . . . I came back at dawn the next day and only had a very short time before we had to head off again.
Next time - I hope!

Wow, this shot is amazing.Β And while you said before that a lot of credit goes to Akbar the Great; it still takes somebody with skill behind the camera to capture something amazing like this.Β You cannot accidentally build an airplane that actually flies.
It's one of those weird grey-area photos that seems to break the "rule of thirds", but when you really look at it; there's enough weight on the right side (The bird, that one thingy (No idea what it's called, I admit) bring closer to you and the camera than the others) of the photo to bring it to a happy balance left-to-right.Β Plus, it is pretty well balanced top to bottom and that doesn't hurt the effect at all.Β Overall; brilliant.Β And honestly; if you need to break a few rules to capture something like this; do so.Β Nothing is worse than failing to capture beauty because you stayed inside the lines.

Thanks a lot. The Taj Mahal is beautifully symmetrical. I took a lot of shots of it from odd angles but pretty well all the classic views of the structure are straight on and with reflections.

Well, you did the classics justice, for this should be mentioned in the same breath if not sooner.Β I'd love to have it as a print if I had a dime of spendable money to my name.
