Here's for all the Dusty fans out there. Being a big Dusty fan myself (my #1 favorite female character in the Balto movies), I realize how hard it is to find good pictures of Dusty. I've had enough experience now, I hope, to draw characters without directly copying a scene from the movie. I never trace, I just had to look off of a picture in order to free hand it. So, anyway, expect a lot more Dusty pictures in the future. She is fun to draw
On a side note, I've decided to stop uploading the inked outlines of my sketches. If you still want me to post them, please leave a reply below, it just seems like a waste of time if nobody is looking at them or downloading them. Thanks a lot!

Saba: (Her full name is "Sabaka") Looks like Kodi, only female and she has brighter fur (It looks like bright crimson with a pale pink color), has brown eyes, and the red color is darker on the back of her ears, she also wears a collar (it's similar to a sled dog collar) She is one of the middle-aged members of the litter. (but is older than Dingo and younger than Yukon) She is known to watch out for others and has an independant behavior, but is very friendly.
Dingo: (Sometimes called "Ding-Dong", but he's usually called that when someone is fooling around with him)Looks like Aleu, only male and has a red color, also has blue eyes. His fur color is darker than Saba's but brighter than Kodi's. (Meaning his fur color is crimson and has a sandy colored underbelly and legs) He's one of the middle-aged members of the litter. (He's younger than Saba, but older than Nunivat) He also likes to tell jokes and has playful behavior. But he does act responsibile on some occasions.
Yukon: The one with the face mask, is also a male. He has light brown eyes and has the darkest fur color out of his siblings(the red color is hard to see and looks like a black, he even has a light gray underbelly, muzzle, and legs) He is the oldest male out of the litter, (He's older than Saba but younger than Aleu) he has a serious and responsible behavior, known to act like a tough guy. But is very friendly and caring.
Nunivat: (sometimes called "Nuni" for short) Looks like Saba, is a female. Only she has blue eyes, coloring on back of ears matches fur color, and doesn't wear a collar. (she doesn't wear any kind of accessory, nor does she like to) She has the softest and brightest fur out of all her siblings (meaning her fur is bright red and pale pink) She is the youngest female in the litter, (she's younger than Dingo, but older than Kodi) she like baths and hates to get dirty, (she even dislikes her fur getting scruffed up) she hates violence and never fights unless she has to. She doesn't talk much and has a shy and very kind behavior. (Nunivat is also my favorite out of the whole bunch)

Name: Thunderbolt (sometimes he's called "Thunder" for short)
Breed: 50% Siberian Husky, 50% Mexican Gray Wolf (he knows Spanish too since he's half Mexican)
Gender: Male
Fur Color: Gold, Cream (Note he resembles Kodi in body shape and facial markings)
Eye Color: Amber, his left eye turned red during a bear attack
Age: About 2 or 3
Personallity: Friendly, loyal, caring, sometimes playful
Mate(s): Nunivat
Likes: Playing in snow, racing, helping out, puppies, swimming, watching stars
Dislikes: Anyone evil, Nunivat getting harmed, (he usually goes crazy if that happens) fighting, anyone who tries to get Nuni to fall in love with them
Story: Thunderbolt fell in love with Nunivat upon first seeing her, he asks her out on a date, but she says she isn't sure whether to go or not, so he decides to let her choose and she feels a little uncomfortable about going and Thunder takes the answer as no, much to his dissapointment. So he decides to get to know Nunivat and talks to her whenever he gets the chance, he even flirts with her by saying things such as he likes how beautiful her fur is, (which she accepts) but he careful not to be in her way and gives her space whenever she needs it. later on, he meets Nunivat's parents (obviously Balto and Jenna) The pair quickly warm up to Thunderbolt and he asks Nunivat on a date again (Balto and Jenna are watching, but neither Thunder or Nuni notice them) She accepts it, and he takes her to a small restraunt in the town. Later on, Thunder shows Nuni one of his favorite past times: Star watching. He even uses the stars to tell stories as well as Nunivat does and she quickly enjoys the activity and warms up to Thunderbolt in the process. Later on a bear attacks Nunivat and Thunderbolt immediately jumps in to defend her, he shows his aggressive side (which he hates to use) and manages to defeat the bear by causing it to drown in an icy lake, but he suffers near critical damage in the process. (one of the results is his left eye getting scratched an turning from amber to a blood red color) He falls unconscious in front of Nunivat and Balto (along with Jenna, Boris, Kodi, Dusty, Muk, and Luk) arrive and help Nuni take Thunder back to town and he's eventually brought back to health. He sees Nunivat again later on and she freaks when she sees his now-red colored left eye (the result of her freaking out is jumping onto a nearby trash can and it topples over, causing Nuni to fall onto her back in front of Thunderbolt) He attempts to comfort her about his eye, but has a hard time succeeding and fails. He walks away in sadness, explaining the true reason why he was talking to Nunivat, taking her out on the date, and about why he defended her from the bear in the process. (which was that he was in love with her and wanted to become her mate) Nunivat is touched by this and stops Thunder from walking and says she'll accept him as her mate and they do so later on at night at the same spot where Thunder first took her when they went Star-watching (note that Balto, Jenna, Kodi, Dusty and Boris are nearby and see the whole thing and walk away in secret) Later Nunivat and Thunder see Balto and Jenna who accept Thunder as a member of their family and a Nunivat's mate.

I thought the part where Thunderbolt and Nunivat went star gazing was kinda interesting. You can thank the Lion King movies for that idea.
They were also lying on there backs when they were looking at the stars. Definitly Lion King style.

Kodi: Okay everyone, we might as well get some sleep so weβll have enough energy to deliver the mail tomorrow.
Kirby: (jokingly) That is if the blizzard lets up.
Kodi: Very funny, Kirby.
Dusty: Well, Iβm tired, so Iβll be going to sleep now.
Dusty climbs into a box with a pillow and lies down in it.
Dusty: Good night everyone.
Kodi: You too, Dusty.
The rest of the dogs climb into their own boxes and fall asleep in them.
1.5 hours had passed since the sled team fell asleep. Suddenly, a noise wakes Kodi as he looks around trying to find the sourse of the noise. He looks to his right and sees that the noise he heard was Dusty shivering because of the cold.
Kodi: Dusty?
Dusty opens her eyes after hearing Kodi.
Dusty: Yes?
Kodi: If you want, you can join me in my bed.
Dusty: But itβs not big enough for both of us.
Kodi: Who says I have to make room for you? You can lie on me, I donβt mind.
Dusty: Okay.
Dusty climbs out of her bed and heads toward Kodiβs, still shivering due to the cold. When she reaches the bed, Kodi moves the blanket and positions himself onto his back, slightly confusing Dusty.
Kodi: My fur is warmer on this side of my body; youβll be able to get to sleep more easily.
Dusty: Okay.
Dusty climbs into Kodiβs bed, trying not to hurt him in the process. But she accidentally steps on his leg.
Kodi: Ow.
Dusty: Sorry.
Kodi: Itβs okay.
Dusty gets herself in position and slowly lowers herself onto Kodi, and he grabs the blanket and pulls it onto Dusty and the two fall asleep.
Dusty: Kodi?
Kodi: Yes?
Dusty: Thank you.
Soon Dusty falls asleep.
Kodi: Youβre welcome.
Soon Kodi falls asleep too as the screen darkens

And yeah, since I've gotten more into my own style, I found the Balto art difficult and unsatisfying to draw. Besides, I'm more of a furry at heart, anyways.

Balto art's not difficult or unsatisfying for me. I've done a lot of the animal characters (except for Boris, Stella, Muk, and Luk) By the way, ever since I first saw Jenna in those movies, my favorite dog has been the Siberian Husky ever since.

Well, the comic involves Balto (as a pup), a black husky named Bonnie, and a blonde dog (who's the main villain, I forgot his name, he may be a husky even though he has floppy ears)
In the comic, (it's very short according to me) Balto's walking through a town (probably Nome) and sees Bonnie inside a wooden building (I'm not sure if it's a shed or a house) and she asks who he is and after Balto tells her his name, she tells him hers, but Balto has fallen asleep beside her while she was talking and she falls asleep as well after seeing him next to her. Then Balto has this nightmare where his mother Aniu is killed and wakes up in shock, waking Bonnie and the other in the process. (and yes the other dog is the blonde with floppy ears) Balto sees the blonde dog and accuses him of murder (Balto had me confused there for a moment) and after a short fight, (a red husky and pup are seen on the sidelines watching) the blonde reveals that he killed Aniu (despite the fact when she died in Balto's dream it looked like she had been shot) and is about to kill Balto in the process. But Bonnie stops him just in time and grabs Balto and tries to run off with him, but the blonde catches her by leg and she drops Balto. That's as far I got into the comic, I've been typing in the comic's name here on deviantART but I can't find it even though I get the name correct!

Hmmmm...I don't think I'd like to see the comic. It's so unlike Balto it's not even funny. Besides, Balto just randomly falling asleep next to some strange dog is just totally ridiculous and unbelievable.
If you like it, thats great, but it just doesn't seem to be the story for me.
