It really was a once in a lifetime shot. I'm careful to keep out the way so I'm not a distraction but this youngster got wise when the lure stopped moving and decided to come over to me all wagging tails and licks. It was quite funny as the owner was panicked that he was going to jump on me and knock me over, he really was that enthusiastic to say hello.
Settings on camera was ISO 800, f/7.1, 1/2500 taken with Canon 1D Mkiii and 70-200mm L series F2.8 USMII Lens at 125mm.
Some lifting of shadows in Lightroom and a sweep of clarity over the sand to highlight the grain.
