DOWNLOAD FOR FULL VIEWGet it? KNOT?! ....Shut up! I thought it was funny!
So, yeah, Edd has been struggling with his unmanageable mess of a haircut, seeming to only get worse the more he ignores it. Since Ed and Eddy have already seen it, though he's obviously feeling very naked without his hat, he decides that maybe he can at least make his hair presentable with a little help from his childhood companions. Unfortunately, he's forgotten that Ed is prone to make things worse with his brute strength and oafish behavior and Eddy is about as sensitive and supportive as a hyena.
Anyhow, I wanted to draw vampiremeerkat's hair concept some more and this eventually came out. I await your opinion, please comment. I enjoy healthy criticism.

hehe, thanks ^^ I thought the series didn't have enough 'true to the original' fan-made stuff with only a slight personal touch of the fan. Too much slash and anime and all around rabid fangirl-izum. Hence I'm getting into making these fan drawings as well as a pet project I'm working on...
The whole hat thing is the only topic left open for interpretation and I really liked Vampitemeerkat's concept as it makes a unique dynamic I am eager to work with, as you can tell from these drawings. Plus it works on allot of levels I won't get into at the moment. Vamp's more interested in progressing the story with High School, but I'm more interested in 'true to the original'. That make any sense?

And yeah, that makes sense. XD I like fanart in the same way-- I think it's an opportunity to be true to the show, rather than go off on a huge tangent.
I tend to go for my own style rather than keep to the original (the latter of which is pretty difficult to do in the case of old video games, lol). I think it's neat when someone draws a character in a different style, and you can tell instantly who it is. :0 But in the same way it's also really cool when people can imitate the original style! Good fanart is good fanart, regardless. XDD

Hah, and I'd like to emphasize how much I really admire your background skills... the format of all three scenes smushed so nicely together est tres beau! Magnifique! And I'm growing on the crazy hair thing.. your portrayal of it as a REAL bed-head issue and not just a flowing river of glossy hair is much more appealing to me.
....and what the hell, I still can't over your Ed... not quite in style, but he still has the same 'brutish' and 'ogrish' look in the show, just not as childish... that's what I was looking for the other day.
AND, jesus, where are you? You're teasing me here, buddy. Don't fulfill me with intellectual conversation then jet, that ain't cool. :[

Aw, thank you so much! Glad to hear my portrayal of the hair is in good taste. I didn't want to use it the same way Vamp. does, which is more leaning to the glossy flowy thing. Hehe, I still have allot of practice to do until they're all in scale and I can replicate them without any references at all.
Hehe, sorry about that, was just kind of distracted with family affairs, nothing outside of the usual. Sometimes I just forget to sign on before I'm too tired for it. I generally don't like AIMs as I tend to get roped into conversations. I hate talking to more then one person at a time, or multitasking, it's part of my aspergers.

You bet, an OCD like Double Dee? He's extremely ashamed of his hair and hasn't had any luck making it any better. In fact, each attempt to fix it has made it worse.
