Awesome capture !! We think of these guys as quite ordinary but, to me, they are on of natures best photo ops since they are, for the most part, so used to being around people, you can get the opportunity to get just a little closer than most other species of birds !! I have my own fair share of gull pics !!! Thanks for sharing !!

Thank you Haha yeah one time I got one to hang out a foot from me on my lunch break by giving it some fries haha. I mean if they weren't already accustomed to us I wouldn't do that but...

I'm definitely heading over to your gallery!

"That's pretty cool." - literally what I said outloud at the thumbnail. Haha.
Never seen a shot quite like this. Some of your close ups are really quite nice. How profound this picture is, of having a common, often unliked bird in the same stereotypical shot of an eagle. And that one peek of land keep the photo's interest up. Very nice.

There are so many seagulls here you almost learn to love them haha. This guy took FOREVER to take off. I felt like a National Geographic photographer. It felt really rewarding getting this shot, so the kind words are very much appreciated!

Really? That's funny. I've only seen a few on vacations and things. Noisy bunch. lol Did it really take so long, or did it just seem like it? Regardless, your endeavors paid off.

Haha they are really noisy! It at least felt like I was sitting there waiting for the bird to even blink for 10 minutes! Then I lucked out that a big enough wave came to make Mr Gull take off

Funny. I didn't know they even could stay still; they're always dashing after food it seems. Yes, you certainly were very lucky it happened, and talented to capture it. I look forward to seeing more of your works.

my sister doesn't like them because one time we where at the ocean and she had her head under the water and when she came up a fish was stuck in her hair and a pelican just sooped down and ate it.
