Description
In-Universe notes:
After the capture of the planet of Lemer from the Golden Consortium, the hodgepodge Imperial-Republic-Independent forces from the forces of it's conquerors (A remnant of said forces time as members of the Eternal Alliance) were slowly re-organized over a period of three-and-a-half years, old Republic and Imperial equipment was slowly phased out of service as local manufactory, extraction, and commerce was reignited, and soon the first generation of equipment was rolled out for deployment to soldiers of the newly-formed Da'Shanae Free State.
From left to right, the shown models are:
Basic Defensive Equipment:
The absolute baseline for a soldier entering a combat zone is a Terenthium-Desh-Alloy chestplate and helmet with eyeguard, such gear wont do much to protect the soldiers extremities, but it is cheap and protects the vital location of the head. The most common user of this equipment were Shipboard Security personnel pending the development and widespread introduction of their own suits of protective equipment, after which they were relegated to auxiliary armor for all branches and saw successful introduction to the civilian police authorities.
Standard Defensive Kit:
The SDK is the ideal armor a Morden soldier is deployed into a combat zone with, as with the BDE it is made from Terenthium-Desh alloy, the components for which are abundant on Lemer. The lightness of the metal and the flexible segmented design means that the soldier protected by this equipment is likely to survive high amounts of shrapnel and concussive damage while still being able to move with great agility, though direct fire from a Blaster is still sure to penetrate. It is near-universally worn by regiments of the Army, though some Regiments maintain old Imperial or Republican armor out of tradition.
Heavy Defensive Kit:
Containing the same base components from the SDK, the HDK is simultaneously considered something of a stopgap measure for more specialized heavy equipment and a testbed for further protection to be added to the Standard Defensive Kit. It is generally issued to Shocktroopers though it has seen limited deployment among Marine forces with modifications to allow for breathing apparatuses and room for pressurized suits underneath the armored layers. The helmet on all models is fully enclosed and contained speakers and breathing apparatuses.
