You know, the way this poster is designed reminds me a bit of THE IRON GIANT, especially the shadow of the robot in the moonlight. Either way, excellent work. It's beautiful.

Incidentally, I'm really looking forward to seeing Mark Hamill at New York Comic Con; he was phenomenal as Muska, and I really want to compliment him for his work on the character.

Sorry; I didn't mean to make you feel jealous. But I AM excited; he and Cloris Leachman's Dola were the reasons I loved the dub so muchβwell, there were others, but those two were my favorites.

Haha still very jealous. I re-watched Castle in the Sky last night... soooo good. I wish Ghibli would make another like it

As do I. BTW, meeting Hamill was fantastic. He really enjoyed working on the film and spoke highly of Miyazaki in general. I could tell from the start because his Muska was spot-on from start to finish. There are a number of fans who have repeatedly told me that the Disney dub is unwatchable and that I should be ashamed for liking it, but I just don't see that argument. While it may differ from the original in places, it's still a very solid dub, especially Hamill's performance, and ultimately I can't listen to it in Japanese anymore (even though I DID watch it one time in that format and liked it then).
But I am just not a purist; I am not interested in writing off dubs, I want to give them a chance. That's why I enjoy the Miyazaki movies in English unreservedly. This one especially.
